Blessing Day
Things are going pretty good. Ethan still has his nights and days mixed up. He usually goes to bed around 2-2:30 in the morning. It is pretty exhausting but we love him so much and couldn't imagine life without him now.
I am feeling pretty good. I have had my postpartum appt with my doctor and she said that I have healed up nicely and can start exercising again. I need to take it slow and stop if it hurts but I still think I am doing pretty well. Every once in a while I feel some pain but I am off the pain meds now and feeling pretty good.
Having a baby is alot of work but so worth it!

He's here!
Babies are so much work but they are worth it! Ethan is now 5 weeks old. I cannot believe how fast time goes. He is such a joy! Exhausting, but a joy. We just love our little nugget so much! We are glad that he is here and is so healthy. Life is good....

Way behind....
Baby boy is still doing well. He turned the right way (thank heavens) and is ready to go. He is still right on target for his growth pattern and is looking healthy.
I am doing well. I did not pass my first glucose test which was a bummer. I was so close but just barely over. I went to take the second and most horrible 3 hour glucose test. About 50 minutes into it I threw up the drink.....in the waiting room....on the floor....in a garbage can. How embarrassing! Lucky for me there was hardly anyone there. The nurses and receptionists were so nice and told me it was okay and happens all of the time. Still, it sucked. I was rescheduled to take the test. That day I had to take nausea medication before the test. Thank heavens it worked! Good news is I passed the test!
I have been blessed with such good families and in-laws. I have had some really nice baby showers and I am so grateful for how generous people have been. Seriously, they are awesome and we feel so blessed.
With four weeks left I keep getting asked the same question. That would be "how are you feeling?". I never know exactly how to answer that question. It depends on the day and the hour sometimes. I feel big, achy, exhausted, and pregnant. I really don't know what else to say.
We are getting ready for this baby to come. We have the nursery pretty much all put together, hospital bag is getting packed, and childbirth class has been taken. I was a little worried that the class would scare me but it was good and even the videos weren't that bad. It just seems so crazy that things are so close.
As the days go by we are getting more excited and more nervous. We cannot wait to meet our little boy!

20 Weeks and its a...
We have started to look at baby stuff and we are super excited. We found this fun picture of Noahs Ark for the baby's room and have decided that will be the theme. Now we just have to get everything else. For something so small, babies sure need alot of stuff!

Our Surprise Christmas Present....
We are so very excited and shocked. We have been trying for years and were not expecting this to happen. I am in the middle of my 12th week and am due at the end of August. I would love to say that I have totally enjoyed and loved being pregnant but it has been really really hard. Starting week five I started in with the morning sickness and it has just gotten worse and worse. I finally got to the point where I was not keeping anything down all day so I had to go on medication to keep food down. What we women have to go through to get children......
I would be a total ingrate if I did not acknowlegde my sweet husband. He has absolutely stepped up and taken care of anything in the house that is needed. When I cannot deal with food, he makes me lunch and dinner. He does the dishes, helps with the laundry, hugs me when I have a break down and all around supports me in every way that he can. He is truly my angel.
I just cannot say how excited we are to be able to have this opportunity. It is scary but exciting at the same time.
This post is posted on February 16th. I forgot that I was working on this post for awhile so the date is wrong on the post.
